Then Ball State’s major in Family and Consumer Sciences Education is right for you. Our program prepares you to work for public or private schools teaching family and consumer science classes—including topics such as family relations, child development, consumer rights and responsibilities, nutrition, housing and interior design, and apparel construction. As a graduate, you may also qualify to become a county Extension educator or work for other public and private agencies.
